Access, keyword, search

I'm trying to add a keyword search to my database. Each record can be given up to 6 keywords, each stored in a separate field. I'm using a combo box to produce a dropdown for the parameter query, but it only finds instances stored in the keyword1 field and ignores 2-6. I'm guessing that the combo box dropdown is not passing the selected search word to the criteriea in the "Or" line for keywords 2-6? The expression I am using in each keyword field is [Forms]![Keyworddrop]![Combo0].

Many thanks
Simon

RE: Access, keyword, search

Hi Simon,

Thank you for the forum question and I am sorry about the late answer.

I have created a database where I have created a form with a combo box. If a keyword is selected and the command button is clicked the query in the database will only show the correct data.

I have attached the database.

I hope this can be a help to do what you want.

Kind regards

Access tip:

Run with the total

Often when creating reports with lists of transactions it can be useful to have a column which totals the transactions as the report progresses.

Using the Sum function gives the total for the whole group, not a running total.

Access provides an easy method of achieving a running total.

Click on the text box containing the data you wish to contain the running total.
Select the Data tab
Click in the Running sum option
Click the down arrow to view three options
