User Level Security

I have a database on a shared drive in work. There are 7 people accessing this database with myself as the administrator. I've tried using the User Level Security Wizard and maybe it's just because I'm a bit slow but I cannot get it to work.

I would like to restrict the 6 other staff members' use of the database to just being able to add and view data but definitely not be able to delete anything as it took me many painstaking hours to collaborate all the information. I thought this could be done through their login details to the database but I can't get it to work and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Please help!

RE: User Level Security

Dear Azlina

Thank you for your query!

Please refer to the below link which provides the theory as well as practical side to creating user levels and setting permissions.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/access/HA101662271033.aspx

It focuses on Access 2007 but the 203 is very similar as long as you know how to access the User Level Security wizard!!

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards
