Short answer is yes.
It is not always the easiest to setup. You can use Word Fields to dynamically include the images and links during the mail merge process.
Word Fields can be found on the INSERT (tab) TEXT (group) QUICK PARTS - FIELD
Using the word field along with a merge field would mean the image could change with each record.
