ADO Oracle

Hi,

I need to create a code executing a query in an Oracle server to retrieve some data.

I can do this in SQL Server by using an ADODB object, is it possible to do for Oracle? If yes could you send me an example?

Thank you in advance,

Ricardo

RE: ADO Oracle

Hello Ricardo,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft courses with BEST Training.

Thank you for your question regarding Oracle. Unfortunately it is outside the scope of this forum at present, as we do not cover Oracle related questions. We focus on MS Office and Professional and Management subjects at present.

Sorry we could not be of more help on this.

Kind regards,

Richard

RE: ADO Oracle

Hi Richard,

Thank you for your answer!

My mistake, but I didn't mention that I'm doing this in Excel using VBA, and my doubt is about how to use the ADODB object of VBA inside of Excel 2010 to connect and retrieve data from a Oracle server.

Thank you.

Ricardo

RE: ADO Oracle

Hi Ricardo,

Thanks for the forum question.

I have added 3 links below which explain the VBA code. The first link also explain how you can query the data using SQL.

I hope this will help you in the right direction.

If you have problems with the code. Please paste the code you are using and let me have a look at it.

How to Spell Check an Excel 2010 Worksheet

Excel 2010 does not automatically spell check a document. So, here's how to manually spell check a worksheet.

Either select the ''Review'' tab in the Ribbon, go to the ''Proofing'' section and click ''Spelling.'' Or, simply press F7.
