MS Project Recurring task creation

Is it possible to create a recurring task on a set of tasks, that is on a summary task.
I have a deployment to 236 sites and I have a set of tasks recurring. I want to be able to create a schedule to set the summary task that has the detailed tasks recurring.

Example as in below, to create a recurring task on the summary task "Test Configuration"

Test Configuration
<indented> Enrollment
<indented> Intersol
<indented> Clean Conficker virus from PCs
<indented> Receipt Printer on Tellers PCs
<indented> Sign-off Branch Upgrade
<indented> Travel to Next Branch

Many thanks

RE: MS Project Recurring task creation

Hi Olu

Thank you for your question. Recurring tasks are created individually rather than a recurrence being set on the summary task.

Would you be able to achieve the effect you are looking for by creating the first set of tasks, with dependencies and summary task then copying and pasting the block of tasks for each new deployment. You could then set start no earlier constraints for each set of tasks by keying in start dates in the start column.

I hope this helps - if I've misunderstood your question please tell me more and I will try to be of further help.

Kind regards,
Andrew
