Printing

Is it possible to print a zoomed out Gnatt chart with the information on the left?

For example in excel you can print the area that you have selected.

Thanks,
Hayley

RE: Printing

Hello Hayley,

Thank you for your question regarding printing a Gantt Chart in Microsoft Project 2010.

Since you are referring to 'selected areas' I presume you do not want to print the entire Gantt chart and table.

If I have presumed correctly, then the first thing you must do is decide what table columns you wish to print by moving the vertical bar across to a suitable position. To enable the Gantt chart to be viewed perfectly, from the View ribbon locate and click the Zoom Entire project button.

Make sure that the print preview button is on your Quick Access toolbar and click it. From here you can select the date range you wish to print which of course becomes your selected area.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.

MS Project tip:

Autofit column width – Project (all versions)

At the top of the columns where each column name is located (Task Name, Duration, etc.), hover over the vertical column line which you want to move.

A short bold vertical line will appear, with horizontal arrows pointing left and right.

Left click and hold this icon and it will permit you to grab the column line, allowing you to move it left or right to your desired location.
