Building and Managing Task Structures 

Creating a Task List 
Open MS Project and select the Gantt Chart view. 
In the Task Name column, enter your tasks. 
 

Example: 
Task 1: “Project Kickoff” 
Task 2: “Requirements Gathering” 
Task 3: “Design Phase” 
Task 4: “Implementation” 

 
Modifying a Task List 
To modify a task, double-click on it. You can change the task name, duration, start and finish dates, and other details in the Task Information dialog.
