Deleting duplicates and unmatched records

If you run a duplicated records query and multiple records are found, if you then run an unmatched records query and also find multiple records, how can you automate deleting the appropriate records instead of doing it manually?

RE: Deleting duplicates and unmatched records

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for your question and I hope you enjoyed the course.

I have tried three different things today and still no luck. I will keep looking today and on the plane tomorrow and try and figure something out for you.

Please bear with me.

Regards

Simon

RE: Deleting duplicates and unmatched records

Hi Simon,

Thanks for this - apologies for the delay in responding but I've been on holiday and am only just catching uo on emails.

I am still interested in a solution to this problem if possible.

Also, on the advanced course you showed us pivot tables in Excel and were going to give us some information on these. Is it possible to email me anything?

Thanks

Sarah

Access tip:

Create An Inaccessible Field On A Form

There is sometimes a need to make a field in a form look like a normal field but be completely inaccessible to the user. To do this:

In the Field's Properties
Set the ENABLED property to No
Set the LOCKED property to Yes

The field will not grey out, but the user will not be able to do anything with it.
