Form Auto Fill

I am creating a form to store details of requests made by individuals about their own or other individuals personal details.
I have a tab for 'Subject Details' (title, name, address, contact details etc) and a tab for 'Applicant Details'.

Frequently the subject is also the applicant, i would like a tick box on the form 'Applicant same as Subject', so that when it is ticked, it automatically copies the information from tab 1 (Subject Details) over to tab 2 (Applicant details) to avoid the user having to enter the exact same details.
Is this possible, and if so how?

RE: Form Auto Fill

Hi Harriet

Thanks for your post and the short answer is yes what you are looking to do is achievable.

However to reach a solution will take us beyond the scope of this forum and into a more consultative area. The process works as follows:
1) You send us your working files for review with a summary of key features you require
2) We will prepare a scope of work including duration and costs which you can then decide on

If you would like to pursue this option please let us know.

Access tip:

Copy a Previous Record's Values to a New Record

If you often enter the same value in one field of a table, there are two methods to save re-typing the data.

1. Use Ctrl+' (apostrophe) to repeat the value input in the previous record.

2. Change the field's DefaultValue property in Design View to the most commonly used value.
