Calendar/Diary - disappearing appointments, losing data

Hi,

I wonder if you can help us. For a number of months we have been experiencing the same problem with our Outlook Calendar. There are two of us in the office who use a shared calendar. We also use a web hosted Microsoft Exchange server with a company called Cobweb Solutions.

The problem occurs regularly (almost on a daily basis) but irratically (we cannot identify a pattern). We are often noticing that calendar entries such as meetings and events are dissappearing out of the calendar. This could be from either or computers or sometimes both. On the occasion that we have noticed the missing entry, re-starting outlook seems to make the missing entries come back again. This is a worrying problem because there is potential to miss meetings and events if they have dropped out of the calendar without us realising.

I have logged this issue with Cobweb Solutions but they suggested we contact Microsoft. Can you help, perhaps you have heard of this before? If you need any more information or have any ideas please contact us.

Many thanks,

Natalie

Dear Natalie

Thanks for your posting! Since you are working with a bespoke solution and third party software incorporated into Outlook, this would involve a trainer/consultant having to appraise your set-up at your site.

The main purpose of the forum is to answer questions which have arisen from training attended or day-to-day usage of Microsoft Office applications. If you wish to pursue a consultative solution to your issues faced, please contact me.
