Excel Workbooks to Powerpoint

I need to insert multiple charts from excel into different slides in Powerpoint. Is it possible to link the entire workbook to powerpoint, then pick each slide as appropriate?

RE: Excel Workbooks to Powerpoint

Hi Emma,

You can link excel charts to Powerpoint, however you cannot link the entire workbook including lots of different charts.

I suggest you save each chart from excel as an individual workbook and you ensure the chart is the first sheet of each workbook.

Then when you are in Powerpoint click on the slide you want to insert your chart into. Click the Insert menu and go down to Object and then click the button that says "browse from file" if you want your files to be linked make sure the link box is ticked.

Good luck

Tracy

PowerPoint tip:

Rearrange bulleted text quickly

Here are some handy shortcut keys for rearranging bullet points on your slides.

Simply click anywhere within the bullet point you wish to reposition; then hold down Shift + Alt then use the Arrow Up or Arrow Down key depending on which direction you want to move the bullet point in (up or down).

The bullet point will move up or down one bullet point at a time.
