How do you create a template

RE: Templates

Hi Rachel, Thanks for the post, To answer your question, if you have created a new document and wish to save it as a template which can be used over and over again, when you come to save, in the Save as Type drop down option, choose Document Template, Word will then offer to save it in the Templates folder, if you are happy to do this click to agree, the Template can now be accessed from the command, File, New and choosing from the option in your Task Pane, On my Computer. If you want to save your Template elsewhere, for example on your server drive so that everyone can access it, you should navigate to the folder before agreeing your save option. Hope that helps, regards Pete.

Word tip:

Turning on Track changes quickly

At the bottom of the screen is the status bar letting you know where you are on a page, but there is a TRK button which if double clicked turns on track changes.
