I came across this symbol (~) the TILDE I think its called and I dont know it's purpose in the world of excel. Anyone?

Hi Tom,
Thank you for your question. If you want to find or replace an asterisk (*), a question mark (?) or even a tilde (~) that is typed into any cell, you can type ~* or ~? or ~~ in the Find box of the Find tool. This will take you to the next cell where any of these symbols are found.
