cutting and pasting data from excel to word document

Please can you give urgent assistance to cut and paste data from an excel spreadsheet to a word document?

RE: cutting and pasting data from excel to word document

Hi Clodagh

Thanks for your question.

To cut and paste data from an Excel file to a Word document:
1) Make sure both documents are open
2) Select the data you want to move
3) Right-click on the data and select 'Cut' (or use the shortcut Ctrl X)
4) Go to your Word document and click where you want to put the data
5) Right-click and select a Paste Option - there are different choices for the style it pastes it in, you probably want either 'Keep source formatting' or 'Use destination style'. Hover over each icon to see the choice of style.
6) That's it, you're done!

Hope this answers your problem, let us know if you have any more questions.

Happy Christmas!

Kind Regards,
Sarah

Excel tip:

Display pictures on Chart Data Point

Replacing a single chart data point bar with a picture.
Step 1: Left click on a bar. Then, wait, and do a second single click on the bar. This will select just one data point.

Step 2: Right click on the bar and select Format Data Point.

Step 3: On the fill effects tab, choose a picture. Browse for a picture for that bar. Indicate if you want it to be stretched or stacked. Repeat for each bar.
