Conditional Formatting
Hi,
I am trying to make an entire row go green when good practice is inserted into a particular column.
I have typed =$H8="Good Practice" and chosen the colour green but nothing happens.
what am I doing wrong please?
RE: Conditional Formatting
Hi Ibijoke
Thanks for your question
You're almost there, I imagine it's just a problem with the area that you're selecting before adding a conditional formatting rule. Give this a go:
1) Select the first row of the data you want to format (it looks like this could be row 8 on your sheet)
2) Add conditional formatting as above (=$H8="Good Practice")
3) Select the Format Painter from the Home ribbon and use this to copy the conditional formatting to the rest of your data
This should then format each row based on the text in each cell in column H.
Let me know if you have any further problems.
Kind Regards,
Sarah
