How to create a button in a Macro to click on instead of a ctrl + key?

RE: Macro

Hi Esther

You can add a button rather than pressing a Ctrl key in 2 different ways as folows.

1. To add a macro button in your worksheet...
Select Insert, Shapes.
Choose a rectangle or any shape for your button.
Size, position and colour your button.
To add text just type while it is selected.

Then Right click on the shape and choose Assign Macro
Select the macro from the list.

Tip: To stop the button resizing or moving if your macro involves filtering or hiding rows:
Right click, Size and Properties
Properties tab
click Don't move or size with cells.

To add a macro button on the Quick Access toolbar...

Click the dropdown icon on the right of the Quick Access toolbar (the toolbar at the top right of the screen)
Select More Commands
Select Choose commands from - Macros
then click Add for your macro
Choose Modify to change the button image
Click ok

This second method is formore general macros for use in any workbook.

Hope that helps for now

Microsoft Office tip:

Automated backup with Recovery Pane.

If you ever have a serious error with Office 2003, there is a backup of the work that appears in the Recovery Pane when the application stats up again. You can choose to delete or save the files so that you can spend more time on creating documents, not recreating them.
