Microsoft Publisher

Is there a way to combine ("merge") two Publisher XP files without copying and pasting each individual page from one publication into the other one (as this loses the formatting)?
I have a newsletter I'm putting together and I currently have the front two pages and the last page then 5 blank pages in the middle where I need to insert five seperate pages (all different documents).
Is there a way of adding the pages?
Thanks
Kate

RE: Microsoft Publisher

Hello Kate

Thanks for your post which a couple of us have had a look at. We can't think of a working solution as yet but that doesn't mean there isn't one!

I will get hold of another team member who may have another approach to this particular request and let you know.

Kind regards

Jacob

RE: Microsoft Publisher

Hi Jacob,
Thanks for getting back to me. We're still stuck for a soltion. I know that in a PDF this is easy but just can't find how to drop a whole page (from a seperate document) into a current document.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kate

RE: Microsoft Publisher

Hi Kate

I have been given the following suggestion (thanks Lena!):

Create a data base with one entry. You can use Publisher to create the entry or any other data base, including Word.

1) Open the Mail and Catalog merge in the Tools drop down menu. Use any word for the entry.

2) Open File #2, Open the Mail and Catalog wizard. Un-link any text boxes you have in this file. Create a text box on the first page of the file, open the mail merge data and insert the field entry into the text box.

3) Go to step five, (step three in 2007) click add to existing Publication, browse to your primary #1 file. You will have to re-link all your text boxes. You can repeat this, only remember to un-link the text boxes. You will not lose your text.
