Exporting MSP into Visio WBS

When I use the Visio WBS chart wizard in MSP the tasks are spread over several sheets \ pages and not linked in any sequence. How do i get all the tasks shown on one page.

RE: Exporting MSP into Visio WBS

Hi Brian,

Thank you for your question.

After training today I will download the addin for MSP and have a look at it for you as I have never used the addin before.

I will answer your question this evening.

RE: Exporting MSP into Visio WBS

Hi Brian,

Sorry for the delay in responding to you.

I created a linked project with about 19 tasks with some summary tasks as well. I then ran the Visio WBS chart wizard and chose all the tasks and clicked next and then finish.

The Organisation chart was then produced on one Visio page and I used the resizing handles in the corners of the sheet to fit the chart onto one page.

Can you explain to me how you used the wizard and how your project is laid out? Is it linked etc?

Regards

Simon

RE: Exporting MSP into Visio WBS

Do you have an email address?
if you create a project with about 50+ tasks with a top indent (title), 2 or 3 lower indents ( titles) with about 20 tasks in each ( all linked), use the wizard and select all tasks it created a visio split over several pages not just on One.

Thanks
Brian

RE: Exporting MSP into Visio WBS

Hi Brian,

Thank you for your response.

The only thing I can suggest is to try and create a hyperlink on your last task that navigates you to the next page of the Gannt in Visio.

I can't think of a way of sorting the page breaks out before it exports into Visio..

I am sorry I couldn't offer you any more suggestions.

Regards

Simon
