Merging sub-inbox folder to Inbox

HI, I created new sub-folder in my inbox which I do not like now. Obviously deleting sub-folder will delete my emails. How can I merge the subfolder to my Inbox.

Kind regards

Sushma

RE: merging sub-inbox folder to Inbox

Hello Sushma

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

If you go into the folder that you wish to delete, and select the first email in the folder; then use Ctrl + A to select all the emails in that folder.

Right-click on top of one of the emails and select Move to folder, then select your inbox and click OK.

This will put all of the emails from the folder to be deleted into your inbox; then you will be able to delete the folder.

Kind regards
Amanda

RE: merging sub-inbox folder to Inbox

Hi Sushma,

Thanks for your question. I hope you enjoyed the Outlook Advanced training.

I'd select all the e-mails in your sub folder, and drag them to your inbox. Then select the sub folder (you may have to click it twice, until it turns dark blue), and press delete. This will remove the now-empty sub folder.

Choose an alternative signature – Outlook

a. This tip applies to Outlook 2000 onwards
b. If you use a default signature on your emails, but want to swap your signature on an individual mail message, you can right click anywhere on the signature within that e-mail message and a list of your signatures will appear. Click the one you want to use this time and the whole signature will be replaced with the alternative one you have just chosen.
