Using time zones

RE: Outlook

Dear Rob

Thank you for attending Upgrade To Office 2007 course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

I am not sure the nature of your query.

Do you want to know how to apply the time zone in Outlook 2007?

You have to create a new appointment and then click on the Time zone button.

When you see a new Drop down arrow with GMT timings you select the city which will indicate how many hours + or - it is from the GMT.

You type the start time of the appointment and the end time of the appointment.

When you press the Save and Close button you will observe that in your calendar the time will be automatically adjusted for you depending on the city selected.

For example if you are in the UK and you set the city as Moscow (which is 3 hours ahead of us) and the time of the appointment is 12:00 pm then the appointment will show at 9:00 am in your calendar!

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

Microsoft Office tip:

Copying From Websites

If you find some interesting text on a website that you wish to use and adapt in your wordprocessor or other package, highlight and copy in the normal way first.

When you paste though, use the Paste Special option to insert as unformatted text. That cuts out all the fancy formatting and hyperlinks that may be embedded.
