Shared contacts
I have access to several contacts lists within Outlook. Is there a way to link the same contact in these separate contact lists so that I only have to edit or update one version?
RE: Shared contacts
Dear Polly
Thank you for attending POwerPOint Inter- Adv. course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.
I would like to know when you say you have several contact list are they from a shared address book in your company or they are on your stand alone computer?
Also can you give me an example of what you mean by updating one version? NOrmally you shouldn't be having teh same contact twice!!
I hope this has answered your query.
If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

RE: Shared contacts
In my Outlook, I have access to my both of my bosses contacts as well. Quite often we all have the same contact listed. However, they can only see their own contacts. So it is necessary to have the contact in all 3 of our lists but is there no way to link it so that they all update automatically from one version?

RE: Shared contacts
Dear Polly
Thank you for your response!
I haven't been able to find a simple solution to this. Apparently this has something to do with MS Exchange server that allows having multiple profiles (i.e. in your case yours and your two bosses).
But I have been able to look at some links that may be of some use to you:
The following is a third party s/w that allows you to synchronize contacts, e-mails, etc... for various profiles. I think it is $49 for home edition licence and $79 for business edition.:

There are some people who have asked the same questions as you. Following are the responses that may help you.
