Hosting within your company's own server

Is it possible to host your webpages within your company's server and if so will these be need to be kept. How big is each webpage memory size for a one page webpage?

RE: Hosting within your company's own server

It is possible to host your web-pages on your companys server. Instead of uploading your Website using the FTP settings, all you need to have selected is Local/Network (not the FTP) Then, navigate to where you wish to have your website for example a network share/drive.

There is no typical webpage size as most WebPages differ in layout, images text etc..
You can however keep an eye on the size of the page you are creating by looking at the righ of the status bar (found above and to the right of the properties panel)

Hope this helps..

Dreamweaver tip:

JumpMenu in new window

When inserting a jumpmenu to a page, the only option available for 'open in' is usually 'main window'. There would be other options available if the page was a frameset.

To change the jumpmenu to open in a new window, change the target parameter of the selectbox in your code to 'window.open()'.

eg.

<select name="menu1" onChange="MM_jumpMenu('window.open()',this,0)">
