Sum IF

HI,

I am trying to create a SUMIF formula, I am trying to make it that when a certain column changes to a word, it calculates the numbers.

Could you give me some guidance please
Thanks

RE: Sum IF

Hi Nicholas,

Thank you for the forum question.

The structure for the Sumif is:

=Sumif(Range, Criteria, Sum_Range)

If you in range a2:a100 have let us say months and you in the range b2:b100 have values and you want to sum January the function should look like this:

=Sumif(a2:a100,"January",b2:b100)

The function will then sum each value in the range b2:b100, where January is the month in the range a2:a100.
