Trend arrow up down
hi there
i am making a risk register and want to be able to use arrows showing whether the trend is going up or down since last time (manual arrow rather than automated), how do I do this without doing something old fashioned like drawing an arrow from word and coping over ?
RE: trend arrow up down
Hi Dimple
I would try a few options using conditional formatting
You could use a custom rule identifying if cell A2 is larger than B2. If it is, make it green, if not change it to red.
OR
You could add a separate column with a calculation that determines whether you've had an increase or decrease in totals and then create a condition to match.
I have attached a file that should give you an idea of the different options available.
Please let me know if you need any assistance recreating the conditions
Kind regards
Wendy
