Is it possible to extract info from Outlook contacts and add to pivot table?

RE: Outlook contacts

Hi Peter,

Thank you for the forum question.

I had hoped to find a way to connect Excel to the database in Outlook, but unfortunately it has not been possible without code the task.

You will need to Export the contacts to a comma separated file (click the file tab and click Import/Export and go through the steps in the wizard).

You will then need to import the file to Excel from the Get External Data on the data tab.

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Recently used file list

Under the File menu, you may find a list of files at the bottom of the menu. These files represent the most recently used Excel spreadsheets. This file list provides a quick way for you to access your files.

You can disable the file list feature of Excel. This is done by

1. Choose Tools > Options menu. You will see the Options dialog box.
2. Ensure the General tab is selected.
3. Make sure the Recently Used File List check box is cleared.
4. Click on OK.
