Secondary axis

step by step on secondary axis for charts

RE: secondary axis

Hello Sabrina,

Thank you for your forum post. I have attached a spreadsheet with an example of a line chart with a secondary axis. Here are the steps:

1. Select your data.
2. Insert the type of chart you wish to use.
3. Select the Layout tab in Chart Tools.
4. In the "Current Selection" group, select the series you
wish to show on the secondary axis from the drop-down
list.
5. In the dialogue box, select "Secondary Axis" in Series
Options, then click Close.
6. If you need to change the number increments on the
secondary axis, select Chart Tools - Layout - Axes.
7. Select Secondary Vertical Axis - More Secondary Vertical
Axis Options.
8. In the Axis Options area, you can set the maximum and
minimum values on the axis, as well as the increments.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards
Marius Barnard

PowerPoint tip:

To copy an object on your page

To copy an object on your page quickly and easily instead of using cut & paste, try this instead.

Select the object you want to copy by clicking on it.

Hold down the "CTRL" key on the keyboard.

Click (with the left mouse button) and drag the object to the new position. Simple & quick.

Now try it again but press the "Shift" key at the same time as the CTRL key, this will keep the objects aligned. Great for making diagrams etc.
