Apply conditional formatting to a row of a table the references
I have a table that is source from data in other worksheets and need to highlight a line based on the values in on of those cells. is that possible?
RE: Apply conditional formatting to a row of a table the referen
Hi Takaedza
Yes, conditional formatting looks at the values in the cell even if they are based on links to other worksheets or workbooks.
You can also create a formula rule that reference another worksheet (but not another workbook).
For example the following rule could highlight any differenced between sheet1 and sheet3 in a range of cells say A2:A100
=$A2<>Sheet3!$A2
Please say more about your question if it helps.

Hi Doug,
Thanks for looking at this would it be possible for me to share the sheet with you so you can talk me through what I'm doing wrong?

Yes ok.
You can send your file to doug@stl-training.co.uk
If you add a note about which cells you are formatting it would help. We can speak on the phone if it's not clear.

Doug
