Resource Report Customisation

How do I customise the resource usage report to include the project name / summary tasks for each task. At the moment I can not see which project a resource's task relates to.

RE: Resource Report Customisation

Hi Bronwyn

Unfortunately crosstab reports such as this one can't be modified to add further columns to the display. However you might want to approach this in a different way and rather than create or modify a report simply modify the resource usage view (View > More views > resource usage) And add the fields you wish to display (e.g. project and name) and from file > page setup prepare the view for printing.

Hope this helps Bronwyn - do let us know if you have further questions.

Kind regards,

Andrew

MS Project tip:

Set default task type - Project 2010

a. In Project, click on the File tab
b. Select Options from left hand side
c. Click on Schedule to set the scheduling options
d. Set the Default Task type box to your chosen option
i. Generally if you plan/estimate your projects using durations you should use fixed duration, and untick the box New tasks are effort driven, if you plan/estimate with person hours use fixed work, or for plans estimated with the proportion of resources time use fixed units, and untick the box New tasks are effort driven)
e. Click OK to apply your changes
