Track changes and saving a document as the final version

Hi

I am trying to save a document with track changes as the final version. I have accepted all the changes and the version is showing as final. When I save the document and re-open it, the version defaults to Final Showing Markup and the track changes are shown on the right hand side. Is there a way of saving the document so that when it is re-opened it shows the final version with all of the changes accepted?

Thanks
Kate

RE: Track changes and saving a document as the final version

Hello Kate

Thank you for your question.

Can you please try the following for me, just to check that there are no changes that still need to be accepted/rejected?

Bring up the Reviewing toolbar on your screen (if it isn't already there) and click the Next button. If Word tells you there are no comments or tracked changes in the document, then they have all been accepted or rejected.

If this is the case then try the following:
1. Go to Tools - Options - Security
2. Make sure the tick box nex to "Make hidden markup visible when opening or saving" is not checked. If it is uncheck this and click OK.

Let me know how you get on.

Kind regards
Amanda
