Formatting Autoshapes

Hi,

I am trying to create a diagram using autoshapes. The effect I am trying to create is a ring with segments cut away. I have tried to do this by drawing two circles one smaller than the other, on top of each other and then drawing lines on the circle for each segment. However I am unable to ungroup the image inorder to pull it apart. How can this be done? I also need each segment to be in a different colour, and do not know how to do this. Thanks.

I understand you are having probs with drawing auto shapes you may not be aware you can only group different shapes together and you CANT ungroup shapes

Have you tried using a diagram to do your task as there is 6 types to go forand 2 could do just what you are after, give this a go and let me know how you do, if you have trouble with this just reply to this post

Hope this helps you
