Business Requirement

MS Project is used to manage clinical activity and plans are built using a specially designed template. It had been previously identified that levels of experience of using MS Project varied within the team and that training would enable everyone to work more easily and consistently on shared plans.

Solution

We spent time with the project management team in order to understand their template and how projects typically run. From this we developed a bespoke one day course using their own examples plus tailored content from our standard two-day Introduction / Intermediate course. The training content also made use of their in-house template. Finally a tailored in-course manual was also created.

Benefits

Incorporating real-world material into the content of the course meant that:
• we could comfortably merge together many topics into one day of training
• delegates instantly recognised examples used which allowed them to focus on concepts to be learned
• transfer of learning back to real projects would be faster
