Which are the most common errors we can avoid with shortcuts and how is it possible to become faster in Excel use?

RE: Most common errors

Hello Chiara,

Thank you for your question. Here is a link to 15 very useful Excel shortcuts:

https://www.stl-training.co.uk/b/15-excel-keyboard-shortcuts-worth-knowing/

All Excel shortcuts are listed in your course manual.

When it comes to quick best practices in Excel, there are so many that it's easier to give you a link to our Excel Best Practices manual:

I hope this helps. You can also ask very specific questions on this forum, to get more focused answers.

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Naming and Using Constants

Constants make calculations easier so worksheets are more easily understood. Constant values also need to be given relevant and memorably names. It is also easier to change the value of a constant.

For example:
Instead of entering 17.5% in each cell when you generate a VAT amount you could name a Constant "VAT" and assigning a "0.175" value to it. To do this:

From the 'Insert' menu select 'Name', then select 'Define'.

Enter the constant
