RE: Excel

Hi Carla,

Thank you for the forum question.

To help you I will need more details of what you want to do.

How do you download the data? Do you have any problems doing the download part?

Which formatting issues do you have?

Please describe your issue and I will be happy to help you.

RE: Excel

Hi Jens,

Thank you for getting back to me!

I have downloaded to Excel. It's a report for vendors to raise a payment run. I had to save as HTML file in order to save into Excel.

I'd like it to show what invoices are due for payment and dates of future payments to be made using the conditional formatting. Sam and I have tried to play around with it but got totally lost.

Kind Regards
Carla

RE: Excel

Hi Carla,

I have created an example (please find attached Excel file).

If you look at the columns J to M, you can see the logic I use.

If you select all the dates in column B and click Manage Rules under Conditional formatting, you can select one rule at the time and click Edit rule and see each of my rules.

The order of the rules is very important in this example. In my example I want to highlight all invoices, which need to be paid within the next two weeks in yellow, but I also want to highlight all invoices, which need to be paid within the next two months in green. The rule within two weeks must be above within two months. The rule closest to the top in the manage rules dialog box has highest priority.

I have in my example under the logic columns numbered in which order the rules have to be created. You can in the Manage Rules dialog box move the rules up or down.

I hope this makes sense and by looking at what I have done, can make you able to do what you want.

Kind regards
