Finding missing data
Hi,
I have a list of payments on a spreadsheet which I would like to enter onto sage (I cannot import it).
I have entered all the lines into Sage but the totals do not match. The amount I have posted on Sage is under by £1500. How can I compare the data between what I have posted and the list of payments to show lines that are missing from my posted spreadsheet.
Hope that made sense?!
I look forward to a reply
Maria

RE: Finding missing data
Hi Jens,
I don't need help with Sage as I can export the data to an excel spreadsheet.
I need help with comparing the data i've posted with the data from the payments spreadsheet too see what data is missing. the result should be the same totals.
RE: Finding missing data
Hi Maria,
Sorry I thought you wanted to compare your Excel worksheet with your data in Sage.
If you want to compare two Excel lists you can do it with conditional formatting or with the Vlookup function.
Do you have a unique transaction ID for each record (may be invoice number)?
If you have a unique value for each record you can find the two methods used in the attached workbook.
I hope this can help.
Kind regards
