Which excel functionality links with google docs?

RE: Google docs

Hi Ed

Thank you for using the forum to ask a question.

There is a great deal of similarity between Google Sheets and Excel.

Most of the Formulas including Vlookup, Offset, Index and Match all work with Google Sheets.

You can expect a like for like experience. The key is Google Sheets is designed for real-time collaboration, Excel isn't, by default.

The only time you will see a difference is when you try to analysis very large data sets, complicated pivot tables and VBA Dashboards. This is best done in Excel only.

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Status Bar Functions

When using the SUM, MIN, MAX, AVERAGE and COUNT functions, the result of such calculations are displayed in the worksheet.

However, if a range of cells, containing numbers, is highlighted, and then a right-mouse click is performed at the bottom right side of the status bar, then the result of those functions will be displayed.
