Crossing out work

Hi,

It's probably going to seem like a really simple and basic question, however...

I was just wondering if there was a quicker way to put a line through a row of data without having to draw one to show that I have crossed it out?

Thanks.

RE: Crossing out work

Hi Sarah

Thanks for getting in touch. All questions welcome, big or small!

You can apply strike through formatting to achieve this. You can find it in the Format Cells dialogue box, but the quickest way is to highlight your cells and press CTRL + 5.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Display Functions on Worksheets

Functions in Excel can be difficult to recall their format/syntax

For example, you want to use the =PMT function.

Enter =PMT, then select keystroke, CTRL+SHIFT+A.

This usful memory jog, will display the arguments of a function on a worksheet, allowing the user to proceed with the generation of the function
