Conditional formattin

Hi there,

I am trying to have conditional formatting with three factors

1. red fill and text: if cell >=-30
2. alternate row colour: =MOD(ROW(),2)=1
3. No formatting: when cell = NA

For some reason the conditional formatting is picking up cells that contain 'NA' as >=-30 and applying rule 1.

I have tried adding a rule and removing a rule for cells that ="NA" but neither working.

Basically, for cells containing NA I want the conditionally formatting rule 2 to apply but not rule 1.

Hope fully this makes sense...

Thanks,
Siobhan

RE: conditional formattin

Hello Siobhan,

Thank you for your question regarding conditional formatting.

I've experienced the same issue myself and the way around it is a method you've already tried. Setting up a condition for the text NA.
Since that hasn't worked for you, I want first check which type of conditional formatting you've been using for 'NA'.
The most suitable option is 'Text that Contains...' under 'Highlight Cell Rules'.
If that doesn't work try 'Equal To...' under 'Highlight Cell Rules'.

If neither of those options work, is it possible to email me the worksheet at: info@stl-training.co.uk.

Hope this helps.
