when using a link to an excel spreadsheet how can you display using the theme colours of the presentation.

Hi Lorraine, thanks for your query. You'll need to set the formatting of the hyperlink which you do like this:
1. On the Design tab, in the Themes group, click Colors, and then click Create New Theme Colors.
2. In the Create New Theme Colors dialog box, under Theme colors, do one of the following:
To change the color of hyperlink text, click the arrow next to Hyperlink, and then select a color.
To change the color of followed hyperlink (followed hyperlink: A hyperlink to a destination you have visited. Once you follow a hyperlink to its destination, the hyperlink changes color.) text, click the arrow next to Followed Hyperlink, and then select a color.
3. Click Save.

Sorry I was not clear on my original question. I work with a lot of graphs originating from spreadsheets built by other people. If I embed the graph into a presentation it is presented in the theme colours of the presentation. However if I insert the graph using by a link to the original source it is presented in a different colour scheme.
How do I get the linked graph to follow the theme colours?

Hi Lorraine. Ah, if only it were that easy. If I could link out to any chart I like and get it perfectly reformatted according to the design of my presentation that would have saved me many years of reformatting charts according to company brand guidelines. Sadly, it's only going to be reformatted when it becomes an object in the presentation itself rather than a link.
