Protecting presentation content
How do I security protect my presentations so when I email them to others they cannot edit / use the template
RE: Protecting presentation content
Hello Nick
Thank you for your question.
Maybe you could try setting a password to modify the file, and see if that helps. So the person should in theory be able to open the presentation; but they need to know the password you've set in order to make any changes to it.
To do this:
1. Click the Office button in the top left corner of the screen
2. Choose Save As.
3. In the bottom left corner of the Save As dialog box, click on the Tools button.
4. Select General Options from the dropdown options.
5. Enter a password in the Password to Modify box, and click OK.
Please do be aware that if you forget the password you set, even you will be unable to make changes to the file.
Please let me know if this helps.
Kind regards
Amanda
