How do I password protect a document?

RE: Microsoft Word

Hello Jade
Thank you for your question

Go to the Tools menu and choose options. Go to the security tab. There are two boxes where you can set a password to open and a password to modify the document. I would recommend keeping a seperate excel spreadsheet (also protected) with a list of your documents and associated passwords, but call that file something not related to passwords! Its very frustrating to not be able to open your documents if you forget the password.

If this resolves your question, please mark it as resolved. If not, please reply with more information.

Kind regards
Cress
