Drop line spike ahead of programme

I am trying to figure out how I can show the spike on the drop line demonstrating where we are ahead of programme, it does the spike where we are behind automatically, but the tasks where we are ahead don't show up.

RE: Drop line spike ahead of programme

Hi Karin

Yes the progress line doesn't normally point to the right for work done ahead of schedule.
Try File, Options, Advanced
Calculation options to this project
Tick Edit to total task % will be spread to the Status Line

I've attached a training example where the spike point to the right for a task 15 which is 50% complete ahead of schedule.

MS Project tip:

Compare Work and Duration

Duration is the timescale within which a task is done; Work is the specific time element used. For example, 3 days work in a duration of 2 weeks. To compare, add the Work field into the Entry table by right clicking a column heading to Add Field.
