Lock a tab
How do you lock a single tab in an excel workbook so you can only view it with a password? I want the rest of the workbook to be password free.
RE: Lock a tab
Hi Leonette,
Thank you for the forum question.
You can only password protect a single tab if you VBA code the workbook.
A walk around is to hide the worksheet (right click the tab and click hide). If you then protect the structure of the workbook (Review tab -> Protect workbook), then the worksheet cannot be unhidden.
Well it can be unhidden by VBA knowledge.
Another thing will happen to the workbook if you protect the structure. You cannot add new sheets or delete them without you unprotect the structure.
Kind regards
