MS PROJECT 2010 - PRODUCING REPORTS

I recently attended the beginner and intrmediate courses for MS Project.

I have learnt a lot but one thing I wondered if people can help me with is advice on the best way to produce reports you can then distribute internally and to clients ?

Most people I will be sending these things to will not have MS Project hence I will need to convert to PDF, Word Doc and Powerpoint etc.

Often I will need to present high level overviews for presentations, tenders internal meetings etc of timelines and task etc. When trying to convert these things I am struggling with formatting.

Has anyone encountered this before or had to the same thing and found a suitable solution ?

Many Thanks

RE: MS PROJECT 2010 - PRODUCING REPORTS

Hi Neil

With Project Reports they can be converted to PDF format by selecting File, Print and choosing PDFCreator from the list of printers. If you don't see that option then check whether your IT department can install PDFCreator for you.

To create PDFs for Gantt charts or other Project views choose File, Save & Send, Create PDF.

Another useful feature is the ability to copy the Timeline.
Select the Timeline, Format, Copy Time-Line.
You can choose either For Presentation, For Email or Full size.
