Access Intermediate 2010

In Access, how can you set the tab view as default (rather than as Overlapping windows)?

RE: Access Intermediate 2010

Hello Wai Ching,

Thank you for your question regarding setting the view to tabbed as default.

The Display Document Tabs setting is a per-database setting and must be set independently for each database. After you change the Display Document Tabs setting, you must close and reopen your database to see the change take effect.

However, this only applies to databases created before the 2007 version which use overlapping windows by default, thus all new databases created by using Access 2007 or Access 2010 display document tabs by default.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
