Is there a clear process to design reports?

RE: Reports

Hi Susan, thanks for the query. That all depends on how sophisticated you want your reports. For simply reports the report wizard will lift the fields out of your source table and simply publish them straight to the report in one of the Access templates. If you want to customise the layout of the reports, you need to build it in Design View. Rule of thumb is to create a simply report using the wizard then modify it through the Design View - it can be very fiddly designing a form from scratch in Design View.

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Access tip:

Combo box for finding records

You can use a combo box in a form to look up a record. If you place the comb box in the Form header, by then selcting they a field type from the drop down loist, you will see the record for it
