Work Schedule

Can you use project for scheduling your daily work.

RE: Work Schedule

Hi Hamilton

Thanks for your question. You raise an interesting point as Project is not really geared toward tracking daily work. Instead it's designed to track the tasks that collectively lead to the completion of a Project.

Day to day activities would be better captured in a task tracking application such as Outlook.

If you need to see your current Project tasks however you could run a report in Project (View > Reports > Assignments) and choose To Do list then select your resource from the list.

I hope this helps - let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,

Andrew

MS Project tip:

Inserting Task Durations Quickly

When entering durations for your tasks simply use the single letters - m for min, h for hr, d for day, w for week, but mon for month. If default is set for days, you need only type the number, for example 3 for 3days, or 0.5 for half a day.
