How do I export a table to Excel?

RE: Export to Excel

Hi Clyde

To export an Access table to Excel do the folowing:

1. Select the table to be exported

2. Open the File menu. Select Export

3. In the Export dialog box select the folder where you want to save the table.

4. Make sure the save as type is "Microsoft Excel 97-2003"

5. Click Export

The new workbook is saved in the indicated folder.

Hope this helps

Carlos

Access tip:

Dsum

You can create percentage values based on individual products / items by using a Dsum function (used with a grouped query)

[Each value column] / Dsum[field:total for the column needed to be calculated],[tablename]
