When you import data that is linked to another database, is there a way to control how often the data updates?

RE: Access

Hi Susan

Thanks for your question. How is your link established in Access? When you go to File > Get external data and choose link data you are connecting two databases rather than importing. This should mean that changes in the source are immediately present the in the destination database.

I hope this helps - let us know if you have established a different kind of connection.

Kind regards,

Andrew

Access tip:

Convert A Form Into A Report

If there is a form that you want to to save as a report:

1. Open that form in Design View
2. Select File and Save As
3. In the Save As Dialog box Select Report

The system creates a report based on the form.
