I have built a database with about 6 tabs (pages) on one of the pages i need to put in a tab field half way down but just on the one page, is there a way of doing this?????

Also i am having to go onto a course that covers, switchboards, vba, security and macros is this all covered on the Advanced course or would i need to do a Advanced course than a VBA course??

RE: Forms

Hi Leigh

Regarding our advanced and VBA courses, the advanced course does not cover VBA, so you will need to do both courses to cover all the topics you have asked about.

Regarding your question about TABS, are you inserting tabs in a FORM? As far as I know you cannot add a tab form to a tab form. This may be possible with VBA, but not with the standard controls in access.

Richard

RE: Forms

OK Richard thanks for letting me know, think i will book myself on those courses

Access tip:

Run with the total

Often when creating reports with lists of transactions it can be useful to have a column which totals the transactions as the report progresses.

Using the Sum function gives the total for the whole group, not a running total.

Access provides an easy method of achieving a running total.

Click on the text box containing the data you wish to contain the running total.
Select the Data tab
Click in the Running sum option
Click the down arrow to view three options
