Access - Forms lay out

Hi!

I have made a form and selected a certain part of information with a square. How can I change the color of only this square without changing the background of the entire form?

Kind regards

Adrienne

RE: Access - Forms lay out

Acess will format whatever you have actively selected.

Try this out:

1.
Open the PROPERTY options (Right click on the form, then choose Properties)

2.
Notice the drop down box at the top of the properties window.
It contains the CONTROL that is currently selected.

3. Click on various areas of the form, and notice how this box changes, according to what you select.

4. Click on the square that you want to format. Notice the name of the square in the box at the top of the properties window.

5. Change the format as required.

THIS SHOULD TAKE CARE OF YOUR QUESTION.

If you find that the entire form changes, it is proabably because you have selected the DETAIL area of the form , instead of the specific CONTROL you want to format.

Does that help?

Regards

Richard

Great, well done

Access tip:

Convert A Form Into A Report

If there is a form that you want to to save as a report:

1. Open that form in Design View
2. Select File and Save As
3. In the Save As Dialog box Select Report

The system creates a report based on the form.
